POST https://agent.qrcode.io/v1/qr with a JSON body. Fields: data (required, up to 1000 bytes), format (png or svg), size (128–1024 px), fg/bg (hex; dark on light, 4.5:1 contrast), ecc (L, M, Q, H).

Static vs dynamic

These codes are static: the payload is in the pattern, so they never expire, but they can't be edited or tracked. For a code you can change after printing, with scan analytics, use a dynamic QR code on qrcode.io (15-day free trial, no card).

Limits and privacy

• Payloads are not stored or logged, and responses are not cached.
• Requests are rate-limited per address; over the limit you get 429 with Retry-After.
• This is a pilot: generation can be paused (503) or the API changed.
• Report abuse, such as codes pointing at phishing pages, to support@qrcode.io.
